Our group is one of a fairly small number, with a reasonable grasp of the French language and with the desire to improve their understanding and communication skills through listening and speaking French in a friendly and helpful environment.

The group is led by Richard Allen; who, each week, introduces the group to various subjects for consideration and discussion. This usually involves aspects of both vocabulary and grammar, such that the members of the group gain the opportunity to improve their listening and understanding as well as practice their speaking / pronunciation of the French Language.

Many of the group had not studied French since their school days and wished to re-kindle their interest. Others were interested because they spend periods in France on holiday or have holiday or second homes there and wish to improve their communication skills to help during their stay. Whatever reason, you would be joining an interesting group that is fun.

We meet at Colville House on Thursdays between 10:00 and 12:00
