We have been having fun exploring the world of Art Deco

Art Deco is renowned for its emphasis on simple, streamlined forms and symmetrical designs. Geometric patterns including zigzags, triangles, and sunburst motifs are staples of the style, providing a sense of elegance and modernity.

Taking inspiration from this striking look, members created their own Art Deco–inspired pieces.

Can you find the stamps in our art work ?

This weeks Challenge at the Lowestoft u3a “Art For All ” was a fascinating one. Sonja brought in stamps from all over the world . These were then incorporated into the pictures painted by the group members . Can you spot them all ?

Encaustic Wax Demonstration 17th March

This was such a fun session lead by Bridget

Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting is a form of painting that involves a heated wax medium to which coloured pigments have been added. As you can see this techniques creates such beautiful art work.

We always have fun at our art sessions !
