WALKING SCHEDULE UP TO END OF 2026
Tuesday 22th September – Reedham
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am start in the car park at Reedham Ferry, NR13 3HA. What3words///dorms.crockery.encodes. Be careful if using sat nav, make sure you are aiming for the South (Thurlton) side or it may try and send you to the other side of the river! From the car park, we shall be crossing the river on the Chain Ferry as foot passengers (50p per person). Operates on demand, takes 5 minutes to cross the river. On the other side, we shall be following a circular walk via the Wherrymans Way and Reedham. Toilets on route. Refreshments in Reedham or at the Ferry Inn. Walk approx. 3.5 miles.
Tuesday 13th October - Oulton, Woods Meadow Country Park
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am start outside the shops on the corner of Gloucester Avenue in Gorleston Road, Lowestoft NR32 3AF (roadside parking available along Gloucester Avenue). From there, we shall be following a circular walk via Woods Meadow. Refreshments at the Blue Boar, 28 Oulton Street, Oulton Village NR32 3BB following our walk. Walk approx. 3.5 miles.
Tuesday 27th October – Southwold – Botany Marshes
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am start at the Millennium Foundation Car Park, Mights Road, Southwold IP18 6BE, from where we shall be following a circular walk via Botany & Reydon Marshes, stopping half-way for refreshments at Old Hall Café, Halesworth Road, Reydon IP18 6SG. Walk approx. 4 miles.
Tuesday 10th November - Bure Park – Great Yarmouth
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am in the main car park at Bure Park, Caister Road, Great Yarmouth NR30 4AS. Circular walk via river path and town centre, breaking half-way for toilets and refreshments. Walk approx. 4 miles.
Tuesday 24th November - Pakefield
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am in All Saints Road car park, Pakefield NR33 0JN. This is a circular walk along the cliff path, inland and seafront. Refreshments and toilets available at The Thatch, Kirkley Cliff Road, Lowestoft NR33 0BY. Walk approx. 4 miles.
Tuesday 8th December– Halesworth
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am in Angel North car park, Angel Link, Halesworth 1P19 8SW (£1 for 2hours/£2 for 4 hours). From there, we shall be following a circular route via the Old Town and Fishing Lakes along tracks, quiet lanes and pavements. Refreshments following our walk in one of the pubs or cafés in Halesworth. Walk approx. 3.5 miles.
Tuesday 15th December – Winter walk on Carlton Marshes
Meet at 10.15am for 10.30am start at Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve, Burnt Hill Lane NR33 8HU, for a winter walk along one of our favourite trails. Walk approx. 3.5 miles. (Followed by Xmas Lunch – Spring Tide, confirmation and deposit not required until late September).
